¿Qué se viene a la mente cuando se menciona “gitana”?

Calor… una mujer con ojos oscuros que te envuelve en sus olores, humor y atuendos con colores inolvidables… Furor… un baile con ritmo que no perdona; a rato lento e intenso, a rato encendido en un torbellino apasionado… Sabor… ricas  y diversas tapas acompañadas por una sangría inacabable y todo dentro del alcance de una noche viernes en nuestro querido San Isidro.

LuChi is the creation of Miss Emily Shaw, born in England and raised in Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about food. She is passionate about music. She is passionate about art. She considers them to be one and the same. As a young adult she traveled extensively, relishing in the culinary delights of the Caribbean, Asia and Europe. At 25 she opened a small, successful bistro in Toronto that she directed for 10 years. In 2006 she sold the bistro and moved to our beloved Peru. With no intention to stay for more than 6 months, she found herself so inspired by the Peruvian culinary scene that she created a guided cuisine tour called “Eat With Me Peru“  and thus began the search for the home of her next culinary project… that which became LuChi Bistro.

Emily Speaks… “To me, eating is the ultimate pleasure that bonds me to global cultures, to family stories, to true friends, to romance, and to the alchemy of life. We eat to survive, to sustain our strength and nourish ourselves. We eat to get closer to people we love, or are just getting to know. We eat to integrate, to be accepted, and to keep connected. Como joven viajaba mucho, atesorando la delicia de las cocinas del Caribe, Asia y Europa. A los 25 inauguró un pequeño y exitoso bistro en Toronto que dirigió durante 10 años. En el año 2006 vendió su bistro y se mudó a nuestro querido Perú. Sin intención de quedarse, se encontró tan inspirada por la escena gastronómica del país que creó un tour de guía culinaria llamado “Eat With Me” y de ahí comenzó la búsqueda final por el hogar de su nuevo proyecto de buena comida… el que se hizo LuChi Bistro.
